Lots of button lots

It's been very rainy here in Sydney for the last few days so I've had lots of time to sit inside. I've added lots of button lots to my etsy.com store. I've not had much luck with etsy as yet. I'm wondering if it is because I am in Australia and that means the bulk of the shoppers are from overseas and face overseas postage costs? I might have to change what I sell. I'll see.

10 x pale blue, fabric covered buttons -

9 x red, grey, black and white, fabric covered buttons -

16 black and red animal patterned buttons -

love your buttons :) Do you have a machine to cover them? They look so well finished ;P

As for etsy, and being "international" etc, at times it is disheartening, i completley know what you mean, georgia, all i can say is hang in there. I signed up in september 06, and things didnt really kick-off until new year, and even then it is still fairly slow at times.
I also try to cushion the international shipping expense by covering a portion myself in most sales (eg, if it costs me 6 euros, i probably charge just 6 USD, instead of the 9 or so the exchange rate dictates). Not good business sense, I know, but hey, i'm not really much of a business woman ;P

Take care, and besos :)

Hi again Bonnie!
I'm afraid I don't cover them...they are old buttons that I am "recycling". I should try covering buttons myself one day probably.

Thanks for the etsy tips. I've had a couple of orders over the last week so I'm starting to feel a bit more hopeful. Your shipping idea sounds like a tactic I would use, especially to build up a bit of a positive rating on the site. :)

I don't have a job at the moment, but once I am earning more money, I will certainly be revisiting your etsy store again...there are at least three things I have been eyeing off lately!
